New Name for Big Brown?
New Name for Big Brown?
On the verge of doing something historic, Big Brown on Tuesday made the kind of demands that are usually reserved for high profile human athletes. The horse demanded that his name be changed before the Belmont Stakes this weekend.

The horse's trainer is scurrying to find a name that the horse formerly known as Big Brown will accept. Instead of doing their usual gallop on Tuesday, the trainer was reading a list of names off to the horse.

By the end of the day, both the horse and the trainer were frustrated with the process. "I go out there and run my a** off for these people, the
least they could do is give me a name that is not racist," said the horse, through an interpreter.

The horse went on to say being called anything, even Wilbur, would be more appealing than Big Brown. "They are marketing me as a big mean brown horse machine. This is not what I am. I will not be reduced to a pawn anymore. If they do not change my name I vow not race and make them money this weekend," he said.

The trainer and owner of the horse, have brought in world renowned name specialist, Ali Givemaname, to help speed up the process. Both sides expect that the dispute will be solved in time for the Belmont on Saturday.
